Yarns from Rosario, Pasig

Posted by: zammy on: May 22, 2009

yarns from rosarioLast week, I was finally able to quell my curiosity as to what kind of yarns there are in Rosario.

One word: AWESOME.

There are lots of yarns to choose from and they’re sold by the KILO.

Too bad that I didn’t bring enough money that day… but I’d definitely come back to buy more yarns! I’d probably buy a ball of yarn per color next time.

Hi, I came across to your blog and really would like to know kung anu-ano ‘yung types ng yarn ang available sa Rosario, Pasig. Do they have 100% cotton sportweight, DK weight, and worsted weight? And have you gone there recently, would like to know din kasi kung magkano na ‘yung yarn per type nila and per kilo lang ba talaga ang available? Kasi I was wondering kung meron ding mga 100g lang. Pasensya na daming tanong. I was actually a bit shy to ask and I kept on coming back here on your post for I think two weeks but don’t know how to ask for details. Hehe!

I’ve gone to Dreams, okay naman yung yarn nila and high quality naman di’ba. I mean yung sa Rosario and Dreams.

Thank you. Malayo kasi ako sa Rosario, just would like to know if I could get the same quality of yarn from Dreams on low cost and kung they are selling the three types of yarn weight bago ako pumunta. Hehe! Sigurista nu? Thank you, thank you. :)

The prices range from 250 to 300 depending yarn type.

Tapos ang dami pang colors and mura pa.

Thank you. Thank you. :)

Hi! I found this discussion while Googling yarn sources in Manila. Just wondering, saan yung Dreams?

hi, do they have cotton yarns for knitting?? tnx.

They sell a lot of cotton threads. The last time I’ve been there, there are some cotton yarns but these are harder to find in their big plastic bags. Try asking the store owner. But one thing that I’m sure of is that they carry a lot of acrylic yarns

hi, do they have cotton yarns for knitting?? tnx so much.

HI, can i ask for directions going to this yarn haven if one is going there from makati?kung sasakay ng MRT ano yung next step?X3 thanks much!

Ride the MRT to Cubao station and ride the Cubao-Rosario jeep and ask the driver to drop you off before the Rosario bridge. Cross the footbridge and look for a pink 2-floor building.

Hi! I’m going to try to learn how to crochet. I haven’t have the chance to visit craft stores in the malls lately. Anyway, most of the patterns I want to try uses worsted-weight yarns. Are those available in crafts stores or at this store in Pasig?

I’m having a hard time looking for worsted weight yarns too.

I think Red Heart could be considered worsted weight…

I think most of the yarns in this store in Pasig is either DK/Medium Worsted or Sport-weight.

[...] fellow blogger, post an article about the yarns she bought from [...]

you’re so lucky in your finds there. I went there once and bought some cotton threads. I still haven’t found a project for them. Hopefully, I’ll be as lucky as you in finding imported yarns there.

Can you give us directions on how to go to that store in Rosario? thanks for sharing…..

Hi.. are these new stocks?.. my boyfriend went there and brought home some.. but they’re not as pretty as the ones you got …whhahaha. which store in rosario is this?

I don’t know if they’re new stocks but they look imported. I think the black and white are boucle.

If you’re coming from Robinsons Galleria or Megamall or Crossing, try riding a jeepney or an FX going to Pasig, ask the driver to drop you off after the large bridge in Rosario, I think it’s called the San Juan bridge. Cross the street and you’d see a lot of stores selling threads in cones and yarns.

If you’re coming from Cubao, try riding the Cubao-Rosario via Libis jeep and it passes through the same bridge mentioned above. It’s really easy to recognize the stores because there are a lot of them and you could see a lot of threads.

I bought mine from the first store you’d see after getting off the bridge. I can’t remember the name of the store… but I think it’s the largest yarn store there, from the outside you could see large transparent plastic bags filled with yarns. The vendor is really nice, he let me choose the yarns I liked even if it came from the bottom of the bag.

I forgot to mention that they also sell mercerized cotton thread, most are imported and could be found in big skeins.
